In these hard times, we must keep our immunity up and boosted.
So we choose to make outdoors training sessions with a safety distance, and a cardio oriented training session... with a certain mixed method and very accessible as well as adaptable to all levels from beginners...
Since 2018, working on updating the video archive on the facebook page: FMA Women. Do not hesitate to check it out, there are hundreds of videos of women and girls training all styles of filipino martial arts.
De Campo Uno-Dos-Tres Orihinal (also referred to as De Campo 1-2-3 and De Campo Original) is a form of Filipino martial arts.
The majority of its techniques are based on fighting with a single
stick as opposed to the double stick method used in most Filipino
martial arts.
It was created by Jose Caballero.
The three
counts, on the other hand, referred to the frequency and speed of hits
in some of the system's techniques, wherein three separate strikes are
usually perceived of as only one due to the speed and power by which
these are executed. The Tagalog word "orihinal" is translated as
"original".
Newcomers progress through three different levels; training is intense
and needs to be executed with maximum strength and endurance. De Campo
Original uses angular strikes common in most arnis systems, except it
does not have a vertical (12 o'clock) strike. De Campo Original
emphasizes wide, powerful strikes that can be adapted for execution at
any range.
The current heir of the system, Master Jong Caballero, the eldest of
Mawe's sons, continues to practice and teach De Campo Original. He
resides in Toledo City, Cebu, Philippines.

Started by sister association Hiraya FMA in Romania, and continued in France by Carabao FMA - Eskrima First Lesson - Strike! it means only that in your first training you will spar. That sparring lesson will take around three minutes, and is done with padded sticks and head and hand protections... also the instructor will addapt the intensity of the lesson close to your level of comfort.
At the beginning the lesson was placed right at start of your first lesson, but latter on evolved to be at the end of your first lesson, leaving you the time to get to know some more about the way of striking...
Here are some examples below... some of the students have studied FMA but did not spar, other have never studied FMA or sparred with sticks...
never trained FMA, never sparred, his first 3 minutes of FMA were these:
squash player, never trained FMA not sparred with sticks:
left-handed judo & sambo fighter, never trained FMA
A very special event, the Carabao Tour 2019, will presented here on this blog step by step, but for the moment here is a general presentation video done by Rhea.
I will add here the names of the GMs and their schools / systems, for those who will want to travel to Philippines and meet train with them.
Here is some short presentation of the GGM Nick Elizar, the Founder of Nickelstick Balintawak school, and his head instructors in Cebu City, Philippines.
*as for all posts from 15 october 2020, i plan to re-edit this post with more infos on each of them... for the moment jus the videos...
Agak Attack, is a project designed for advanced students of Balintawak who want to 'spar' short range and mix elements from the curriculum (offence defense, groupings, semihitting, disarms, counters, trapping...) and test their reflexes to a more harsh Palakaw - Padagan play... this is why we wear the head gear, so that we can identify whee our mistakes are, so we can work later on on correcting them. Below are some videos of how we do it:
The Dekiti-Tirsia Siradas System is an ancient Filipino combat and
survival system indigenous to the island of Negros in the Visayan Region
of the Philippines. This fighting art is very combative with emphasis
on impact and bladed weapons as well as empty hand techniques and even
firearms.
I will make a proper introduction to the art and the training session we offer, but later on, for the next days i will update all our available trainings and projects.
For the moment you can take a look at some videos from training with GM Jerson Tortal Jr, in Bacolod, Philippines.
